Unfortunately, Curaderm BEC5 is not a recommended for the treatment for Melanoma.
I have seen this question asked on many blogs.
Curaderm may technically be able to kill melanoma cells but this still does not make it a suitable treatment for melanoma as the time it takes to treat with Curaderm may allow the cancer to spread.
Melanoma unlike Basal Cell Carcinoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma, spreads very quickly through your body making Melanoma the most lethal type of skin cancer.
The safety benefits of being able to instantly remove the melanoma by surgery far outweigh any drawbacks. Treatment with Curaderm can take weeks and this may be perfectly acceptable for non-melanoma cancers such as Basal Cell Carcinoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma but in the case of melanoma, you need to get rid of the skin cancer before it spreads.
If you are concerned by a highly pigmented lesion and you suspect that it may be a melanoma, it is very very important that you get it checked ASAP.
